Photos at checkout and return
You photograph the ATV twice: four pictures when you collect it, and four when you bring it back. Both sets are required — the checkout set before the ATV can leave, the return set before the rental can be closed.
Why
The two sets together are the record of what condition the machine was in when you took it and when you returned it. That record protects you as much as us: if a mark was there before you rode, the checkout photos show it.
Take them properly. A blurred or partial set is worth less to you than to anyone, because it is the evidence you would want if a claim were raised.
They happen at the ATV
Your profile, licence, signature and payment can all be finished at home. The photos cannot — they are photographs of the vehicle, so they are taken standing next to it. The deposit hold and any safety video are the same: both wait until you are there.
What happens to them
They are stored privately and used to document vehicle condition, including assessing a damage claim if one is raised. Our stated retention is three years, for legal and insurance purposes; the privacy policy has the detail.
Do not include people in the photos who have not agreed to appear in them.
After the ride
Once your return photos are in, the rental goes to us to check. See returning the ATV.
This article explains how the process works. What you owe, and on what terms, is set by the rental agreement — the copy you signed is what governs your rental.
